Opotiki is a brilliant spot for anyone who's keen the outdoors. Surfing, fishing, diving and hunting are all on your back door. Opotiki has a number of thriving sports clubs, with excellent fields and playing courts. There's strong waka ama, and plenty of mountain biking, road cycling and kayaking.
