Building & Construction - level 2

NO FEES!

A 48-week course

The Building & Construction course is designed to teach you core skills, leading to further training or employment in both industries. On successfully completing the course, you will gain a National Certificate in Building Construction and Allied Trades Skills Level 2. The course will give you skills in hand and power tool use, fence building, house maintenance, garden furniture, first aid, and more.

So long as you meet the entry requirements there are no fees.

  • Available at: Whakatane for 16 to 18 year olds only; and Opotiki
  • Course enrolment: you can enroll and start training at any time
  • 2010 course starts mid-January 2010, and runs until mid-December 2010
  • Study times: 8.30am to 3pm weekdays.

Entry requirements:

To study in Whakatane, you must be 16 to 18 years old and have low qualifications. Contact us for details.

To study in Opotiki, you must be registered with Work and Income New Zealand. TOPs requirements apply, so talk with your Work and Income Case Manager. In either Opotiki or Whakatane, you must be keen to learn!

Materials/equipment:

You don’t need to buy any special gear or materials. Just wear clothes that are suitable for working in outside and sturdy covered in footwear..
