Civil Construction - level 2

A 24-week course
The Civil Construction course is designed to teach you core skills, leading to further training or employment in the road or transport industries. On successfully completing the course, you will gain a National Certificate in Civil Infrastructure level 1, a Class 2 truck licence with R,T,W endorsements, a Forklift Licence, and a First Aid Certificate.
So long as you meet the entry requirements there are no fees.
- Available at: Whakatane, Opotiki and Rotorua
- Final course enrolment: January and June 2010
- 2010 courses are: mid-January to end-June; early-July to mid-December
- Study times: 8am to 3pm weekdays.
Entry requirements:
You must be registered with Work and Income New Zealand. TOPs requirements apply, so talk with your Work and Income Case Manager. You need a full car licence, which you have held for at least six months. You must be keen to learn!
Materials/equipment:
You don’t need to buy any special gear or materials. Just wear clothes that are suitable for working in outside and sturdy covered in footwear.
