Pre-trade Carpentry is a Level 4 course. Fees apply for Pre-trade Carpentry and Short Courses. So long as you meet the entry requirements, there are NO FEES for Level 1 and 2 courses.
Pre-trade Carpentry - level 4
The Pre-Trade Carpentry course is based on industry designed NZQA Unit Standards. The course includes on-site work experience. On successfully completing the course, you will gain the Trade Education Certificate in Pre-Trade Carpentry Level 4, plus a First Aid Certificate. You will be ideally placed to take up an apprenticeship.
Pre Trade Automotive Level 3
The Pre trade Automotive course is based on industry designed unit standards. The course includes on-site work experience. On successfully completing the course you will gain the Trade Education Certificate in Automotive Services Level 3 and a National Certificate in Motor Industry (Entry Skills) Level 2. At the end of the course you will be ideally placed to take up an apprenticeship.
Civil Construction - level 2
The Civil Construction course is designed to teach you core skills, leading to further training or employment in the road or transport industries. On successfully completing the course, you will gain a National Certificate in Civil Infrastructure level 1, a Class 2 truck licence with R,T,W endorsements, a Forklift Licence, and a First Aid Certificate.
Building & Construction - level 2
The Building & Construction course is designed to teach you core skills, leading to further training or employment in both industries. On successfully completing the course, you will gain a National Certificate in Building Construction and Allied Trades Skills Level 2. The course will give you skills in hand and power tool use, brick and block laying, tiling, fence building, house maintenance, garden furniture, first aid, and more.
Automotive for Youth - level 2
The Automotive for Youth course is for 16 to 18 year olds with low qualifications. The course is designed to teach you core skills, leading to further training or employment in the automotive industry.
Heavy Vehicle Servicing - level 2
The Heavy Vehicle Servicing course is designed to teach you core skills, leading to further training or employment in truck/machinery servicing and repairs. On successfully completing the course, you will gain NZQA Unit Standards and MITO Unit Standards. The course will give you core skills in servicing and repairs, welding, job searching, first aid, and more.
Work Based Training - level 2
Work Based Training is a Government-funded programme that aims to provide unemployed people with training in the workplace. Trade Education matches suitable students with employers who need staff.
